Weekly Writing

In the weekend we where going to go and look at a horse. It can jump fences but Mum changed the plan so we are going this Friday instead.

I went to the zoo and I saw a giraffe and an elephant. A girl talked about the mud puddles that the elephant rolls in.

Yesterday we had our flower show. We all made a weed display. Reid got 1st

Weaving flax balls with Libby.

Libby told us the names of the flax leaves and how to cut them. We are only allowed to cut the Grandparent and Great Grandparent leaves off the flax bush.

Then Libby showed us how to pull the leaves apart ready for weaving.
We had a buddy to weave with.

It was very tricky to weave the four bits of flax.When we had finished weaving we rolled it into a flax ball.

Then we played with the flax balls.
