Joel and Reid found some large exciting looking bones on the grass and underneath some dirt at home. They bought them to share with us at school.
Were they dinosaur bones? NO! They were cow bones.
The boys showed us how the bones go together.
Their friend Paula the vet came to visit us at school and answered our questions. She talked about the bones and where they fit on a cow. It was really interesting.
Did you know that the bones get ground up and made into fertiliser? We call it 'blood and bone' and use it on our gardens. The blood comes from the dead cow too.
