In the holidays I moved to my Dad's farm, last week. We used the horse float and a truck.

Yesterday my cat was on the couch and it was sleeping. Dad was stoking the cat. The cat liked being stroked. Dad fell asleep so I took the cat off and the cat woke up.

Soccer Day

We went on a bus to town on Wednesday to play soccer against lots of teams. The games were really, really hard but we won the last game and lost the first three games.

Damian enjoyed having lots of kicks.
Emma liked getting the ball off other people.
Trent was pleased that he nearly got a goal.

At the end of the day we felt really,really worn out but it was exciting.

The Three Billy Goats Gruff. Retold by Room 2

Can you help retell our story?

Once upon a time there were three billy goats Gruff and there was no grass on their side of the hill.

There was a bridge but a grumpy, old, mean troll was guarding the bridge day and night.The goats wanted to eat the green grass on the other side of the bridge.

The goats made a plan.The smallest Billy Goat Gruff went trip trap,trip trap, trip, trap onto the troll's bridge.

"Who's that tripping over my bridge? roared the troll. I  will eat you up."

"It's only me Little Billy Goat Gruff,wait for my big brother, he's bigger than me."

"Ok, go before I change my mind," said the Troll."Be off with you!"

 

What happened next?

What happened at the end of our story?

The troll fell into the water and never frightened them again.

The Three Billy Goats Gruff ate lots of yummy grass and lived happily ever after.

Happy Birthday Olivia

Today Olivia is six years old.She got a boat with a doll called Polly,a ski board and binoculars. The boat can float in the bath.

Week 5 Our Writing

We had a flood and......saw that all of the water was out of our bath.

"Today when me and Jacob got packed for school we biked to the bus stop and we are going to bike back up the big hill after school," said Emma.
"Why did you bike to the bus stop?" asked Keisha.
"Because we hadn't rode our bikes down to the bus for a long time", said Emma.

Summa said,"After we had gone to the cafe I saw the train. It was a steam train and it had a carriage with lots of people. I saw the man who drove it and it went CHOO,CHOO really loud".

"How loud was the CHOO,CHOO?" asked Rejoice.

"Really,really loud and I saw black steam coming out of it's black tunnel." replied Summa.

"Mum got me a magazine and there was a balloon and a crown in there.I can make animals and other things with the balloon." said Keisha.

"Me and Mum and Dad and Monique got these lambs and the lambs stick on the fridge because they have magnets in their feet.They stick to metal," said Connie.

"What kind of metal?"asked Rejoice.
"Fridge metal,the monkey bars, our magnetic boards in the class," she replied.

Egg Experiment

Egg Experiment. By Emman

Prediction: The eggshell will go yellow and the egg will float.

Equipment: egg,  spoon,salt,cup,cold water
                   
Procedure: We put cold water in the cup.We put the egg in the cold water.We put in 5 teaspoons of salt and we mixed it.

Observations:The egg floated

Conclusion:The salt made the water heavier and the egg floated up.

Monarch Butterfly

This morning we found a monarch butterfly on our swan plant. Jayden put it on Connie's glove because it was cold.

We decided to put it in the sun so it could warm up and fly away.

We noticed that it had an injured wing because there were two ripped holes in the wing.

We hope the monarch butterfly will get better and fly away.

Week 3 Our writing.

Today I asked my Dad if we could buy a magazine for Mum. By Emjay.

I picked the rose for Mum. She liked it . She thanked me. By Connie.

Damian wrote: Last night I saw the super moon. The super moon was glowing and super close and it was very big.

Mother's Day.

After school Dad and I are making a present for Mum. It will be a paper rose. First I have to draw the rose then colour it in, then cut it out. Next I will put the rose in a box where she can't find it. The rose will be for Mum for Mother's Day.

Painting with brush strokes.

We used primary colours to make our painting.The primary colours are blue, yellow and red. We made a sun in the middle of the page with one primary colour.  Next we used a different colour and made brush strokes. We kept going until the page was fill with colour. We used all the paint on the brush and cleaned them with paper before choosing the next colour.

How to make celery blue on the leaves

We have been learning about how water travels up plants.

Our prediction:  

All the blue will come up the stem and then it will make the leaves go blue.

Observations:

4/5 The water is blue

8/5 The leaves have gone blue and some of the stem has gone blue.

Conclusion:

If the water is coloured, the celery sucks up the coloured water.  The celery goes the same colour as the water.

Equipment:

·         Jar

·         Celery

·         Food colouring

·         Water

Procedure:

·         Put the celery in the jar.

·         Fill the jar with water.

·         Put the food colouring in the water.

·         Watch to see what happens.
